This may include lack of work experience, inability to maintain or obtain employment due to various factors such as lack of work experience, criminal history, appointments that interfere with required work hours, etc.
The position also works on our premises with the Troup County School System Twelve
program and with GA Vocational Rehabilitation programs.
New Ventures holds CARF accreditation (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
Work schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
Participation in events outside of this schedule is infrequent.
Primary Duties:
Develop, implement, and lead program services Create documentation for case management files to meet CARF standards.
Create and adhere to IEP's for Program participants.
Recruit participants for the Program.
Maintain community resources related to housing, food pantry, clothes closets, etc.
Recommend and assist with Program Services Plans.
Create and lead classroom activities to teach work behaviors, attitudes, and habits.
Counsel participants.
Other duties will be discussed in the interview.
Requirements/Preferences:
Two years related experience/training in related field or combination of education and experience Case management experience Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation practices within disadvantaged populations including the disability community, those with socioeconomic barriers, homeless and justice-involved individuals.
Ability and willingness to spend time in climate and non-climate-controlled work environments.
Effective communication skills Ability to work well with others and independently.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
