7K a year Overview The RWS - Patient Accounts Technician completes Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance requirements for admission.
Completes private pay financial requirements for admission.
Completes indigent/charity financial requirements for admission.
Receive requests for hospital services and register patients.
Answer phones and handle inquiries.
Position is FT, located at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Hospital.
Shift/Schedule Day shift M-F 8am-4:
30pm Responsibilities Core Responsibilites and Essential Functions Verify insurance coverage's for all potential admissioins for both the IRF and LTAC.
Obtain pre-certification for all potential admissions, ensuring 100% accuracy into Erehab, LTRAX and CPSI of those pre-certs.
Serves as a source of communication to RWSH personnel on admission status, pre-certification status and denials.
Maintains tracking logs of admission approvals and denials for review as needed.
Trains staff on processes, procedures and best practices Required for All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Qualifications Required Minimum Education High School graduate GED Required Minimum Experience 1 year customer service exp in healthcare office environment.
Computer skills and data entry Preferred Experience Experience with CPSI computer system, Knowledge of funding websites to verify coverage of Medicare, Medicaid and Third Party Payors.
Required Minimum Skills Basic knowledge of medical terminology Basic experience and knowledge of PC applications (Word & Excel) Detailed-oriented, good organizational skills, and ability to be self-directed Strong time management skills, managing multiple priorities and a heavy workload in a high stress atmosphere Flexibility to perform other tasks as needed in an active work environment with changing work needs High-level problem solving, analytical, and investigational skills Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension and expression Ability to:
