$21.12/Hr Under general supervision and instruction this position is responsible for supervising and participating in road construction and maintenance operations. Qualifications/Knowledge:
Must have high school diploma or GED Must have a current valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a related field is preferred Knowledge of road construction and maintenance principles Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance Knowledge of work zone safety principles Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws, county ordinances, and department policies and procedures Skill in the supervision of personnel Skill in problem solving, prioritizing and planning Skill in interpersonal relations Skill in oral and written communication Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Supervises and participates in the construction and maintenance of county roads and related infastructure Installs and repairs storm drains and driveway pipes Supervises and assists with traffic control in work zones Operates a variety of heavy equipment, including
dozer, loaders, backhoe, bobcat, etc. Inspects equipment and coordinates equipment maintenance Transports crew to and from worksites Responds to after-hours emergencies Maintains daily log of work performed Trains, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines personnel Performs all other related duties as assigned Employment Applications will be accepted Until Filled on Troup County's website @ www.troupcountyga.gov Job #:
