LaGrange, GA DC - B team Lead (T, W, Th, F - 6 am to 4:30 pm)
Overview:
This level is responsible for overseeing the movement of merchandise from the time of receiving until completely loaded.
Monitor performance of employees.
Lead by instruction and example.
Enforce rules and policies.
Must be capable of performing all duties in the distribution center from Level I through Level IV.
Responsibilities:
Set up/ assign loading/unloading crews - get them started to work for the day.
Monitor work crews and (walk) the floor - assist with solving problems.
Verify counts - check condition of load.
Direct freight trucks and Badcock trailers to the proper door.
Ability to perform and instruct in all positions on the shipping and receiving porches.
Skilled operation of all warehouse equipment, i.
e.
scanners, tuggers, selectors, forklifts, etc.
Proficient in the operation of the WMS computer system.
ADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
General housekeeping dutiesAssist with tagging, count and scanning when necessaryAssist with storing merchandise that has been unloadedAdvanced knowledge of merchandise and manufacturer's numbers
Qualifications:
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- 50 lbs.
chest high for at least a 10 hour shift.
Ability to lift, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and be on your feet for at least 12 hours per shift.
Ability to work 10-hour shifts - four days per week and work overtime if necessary.
Prior warehouse experience / knowledge - ability to perform all duties from Level I - Level IV.
Proficient in the operation and knowledge of the WMS computer system.
Supervisory skills and ability to effectively instruct and lead others.
Must be skilled and licensed in the operation of all warehouse equipment.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others and with management.
Time management skills / ability to prioritize.
Must be able to read documents, tags, orders and work related documentsBasic association of numbers / cross reference for taggingMust be able to work independently, as well as with others as a member of a team.
